The Arts Education Resource Directory is a searchable database of visual and performing artists and their arts education programs. The Directory lists workshops, residencies, performances and field trips for all ages with contact information for booking the artists.
All the teaching artists listed in the Directory have been screened for their experience and skills by the Arts Commission through a panel of regional working and teaching artists. You will see on their listings that they have been approved for either K-12 Arts or Community Arts, or both. Artists and listings are updated and added regularly.
* The Arts Education Resource Directory is intended only to serve as a screened resource for schools and community organizations looking for arts education programming. The Arts Commission does not offer any booking services for the artists listed in the Directory. Please contact the artists directly.
Teaching Artists and Arts Organizations: You could be listed in the Directory!
Apply to be part of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission's new online Arts Education Resource Directory if you:
- are an artist or arts organization doing educational programming in performing, literary, media or visual arts
- are looking for more students to work with
- want to connect with community groups and schools looking for arts activities for all ages in the Sacramento Region
If approved, you will be able to publicize your workshops, classes, performances, field trips, or assemblies for three years on the Directory, reaching a wide audience.
Applications are generally accepted twice a year. Check back soon for the next call for applications.
