Symphonic Music Library
The Arts Commission makes more than 1,100 symphonic scores and musical works from the former Sacramento Symphony available to local and regional performing organizations who have been approved for borrowing privileges. The Sacramento Symphony Orchestra was Sacramento’s premiere symphony for 75 years until it closed its doors in 1996, at which time its musical scores became the property of the City. Access to this valuable collection can save music performing organizations hundreds of dollars a year in music rental costs.
For information on borrowing music from the library, email the Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera at or call (916) 594-7333.
